Also called the Watermelon Game

Suika Game is a merge puzzle. You drop fruit into a box one by one. When two of the same touch, they become a bigger fruit at the point of contact. The aim is a watermelon. It is free to play in the browser, and a round fits a short break on a computer or a phone.

The drop is easy. The pile is not. Fruit bounce, roll, and shift after they land, and they move again when a merge goes off. A cherry that looked safe can slide into the wrong stack. As the box fills, every placement gets tighter. There is no timer. The round ends when fruit overflow the box.

Aladdin X made this Japanese puzzle. The idea comes from an older Chinese browser game, Synthetic Big Watermelon. The Nintendo eShop release in Japan on 9 December 2021 is the version that turned into the global craze. Two years later, in September 2023, streamers, Japanese VTubers, and the singer Ado played it in public, and the clips spread fast. People outside Japan went looking for a way to try the same loop.

Drop a fruit into the box

A fruit sits on the rim. Next fruit shows in the bubble on the right. Drop the one you have into the box. The Fruit Evolution ring on the side is the same chain, so you can see what that fruit turns into next.

Climb the fruit chain toward a watermelon

There are 11 fruits. Follow the row from left to right, cherries to watermelon. Bigger fruits score more. Climb the chain so two bulky pieces become one and you can keep dropping. A watermelon still fills a lot of the box, which is why those merges matter.

Stop the pile from spilling over

Merges can chain. One pair sets off another, and the pile shifts. That helps until the box is packed. Leave a little open space so the next drop still has somewhere to land. If fruit go over the top, the round is over.

Each name below is one step on the chain. Two matching fruits become the next name. Watermelon is last. It scores the most, and it takes the most room.
